Community Activities:
Fuji Xerox as a global leader in document management has always felt a strong sense of pride in giving back to the community. By going back to basics, Fuji Xerox Malaysia has constantly been supporting the local and regional community through its various charitable efforts. We find that the best way for us to reach out and assimilate deep into the hearts of all Malaysians is to think globally and act locally.
The following are some of the successful projects organized by FXM in response to supporting our local communities:
Project: Donation Drive for Myanmar Cyclone
Nargis & Sichuan Earthquake Victims
Date: 25 June 2008
Details: A donation drive was organised by Fuji
Xerox Malaysia which successfully collected RM22,000 from its
employees while the Company doubled up the figure to a total of
RM44,000 to help victims recover their pain and losses from their
loved ones, to rebuild homes and enable them to pursue new lives.
Project: Eco-Trip to Kuala Selangor Nature Park
Date: 19 January 2008
Details: Fuji Xerox Malaysia organised eco-trip
with a fleet of 60 staff and families to Kuala Selangor Nature Park
which was conducted together with Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), an
NGO that caretakes the Kuala Selangor Nature Park. Altogether 100
mangrove trees were planted at the designated compound and swamp
cleaning exercise was also carried out.
Project: FX ISO14001 Committee pays visit to
'House Of Joy' Orphanage Home in Puchong
Date: August 2007
Details: As a part of our annual recycling campaign, Fuji Xerox ISO14001 Committee paid a charitable visit to the orphanage
home and handed over proceeds collected from the recycling campaign organized by staff. A total of
RM2,879 was collected with Fuji Xerox Malaysia doubling up the figure to
RM5,758 for this donation exercise.
Project: Fuji Xerox ISO14001 Committee pays visit to orphanage in Puchong, Malaysia.
Date: 19 December 2006 (since 2004)
Details: As a part of our annual recycling campaign, the Fuji Xerox ISO14001 Committee paid a charitable visit to the orphanage and handed over proceeds collected from the recycling campaign organized by staff of The Document Company. A total of RM4,143.26 was collected with Fuji Xerox doubling the figure to RM8,286.52 for this donation exercise.
Project: Donation Drive for Yogyakarta Earthquake Victims
Date: 31 May 2006 – 9 June 2006
Details: An internal donation drive organized by Fuji Xerox Malaysia had RM4,637.00 collected from its employees while FXM doubled that figure to RM9,274.00, a small token of help for the victims of the Yogyakarta Earthquake.
Project: Tree Planting at Forestry Research Institute Malaysia
Date: 6 August 2005
Details: Approximately 110 staff and families of FXM went to Forestry Research Institute Malaysia
(FRIM) for a tree planting program. Altogether 80 trees from 4 rare species were planted at the designated compound.
Project: Aid to Tsunami Victims in Acheh, Indonesia
Date: 26 January 2005
Details: Fuji Xerox Malaysia contributed RM97,000.00 to the victims who suffered the devastation of the Banda Aceh Tsunami, 24 December 2004.
Project: Fuji Xerox Malaysia Family Environment Day, Port Dickson. Negeri Sembilan. Malaysia.
Date: 17 July 2004
Details: It was beach cleaning at the Blue Lagoon for 83 of Fuji Xerox Malaysia’s employees and their families. Besides caring for the environment, the exercise also proved to be successful in terms of building friendship beyond the workplace.
