Fuji Xerox Malaysia Launches Flagship Product – iGEN3
The World’s Fastest Full Colour Cut Sheet Digital Production Press Showcased at IPMEX 2007

KUALA LUMPUR, 10th August 2007 - Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific (Malaysia), the global leader in providing cutting edge office solutions has today launched the iGEN3 – The Document Company’s flagship imaging device and also the world’s fastest full colour cut sheet digital production press at the 2007 International Printing, Paper, Packaging Machinery Exhibition (IPMEX).

As the flagship product of Fuji Xerox, the iGEN3 is the third generation in a series of ultra-sophisticated digital colour printers launched in 2002. This latest model of the iGEN3 launched at IPMEX is integrated with enhanced imaging and printing software such as SmartPress™ and FreeFlow™, both invented by The Document Company. The cutting-edge applications will be able to provide ultimate color reproduction by improving colour consistency in prints, making it easier to know when to reset the press for optimum color performance, and more effectively rendering photos - all designed to help commercial printers, photo companies and design shops boost productivity and profits of image-intensive documents.

“The 110 page-per-minute DocuColor iGen3 is targeted at the very top end of the production colour printing market. Beneath the surface of the iGen3 lies the result of Xerox’s digital printing expertise gained since founding the on-demand printing services more than 10 years ago with our DocuTech family of production systems,” said Masashi Honda, President of Fuji Xerox Malaysia. “The iGEN3 is aimed at providing businesses of today a solution to achieve a whole new world of revenue-generating colour applications that offset printing could not offer,” added Masashi.

Despite having a niche target market, Fuji Xerox Malaysia is confident that the iGEN3 will contribute significantly towards the overall revenue growth of the company this fiscal year with expected target sales of RM12 million. The upbeat sentiment is backed by consistent growth in the Malaysian economy where companies are looking into purchasing more efficient and accurate printing devices to feed the increasing demand of local companies looking into expanding locally and globally as well.

One of the major benefits that come with the iGEN3 is its seamless ability to expand along with the business and also to customize print jobs according to individual customer’s needs. Just last month, Time Magazine in an unprecedented move has offered the first 1000 subscribers of its Canadian edition the opportunity to go where only celebrities have gone before; its cover. The joint initiative between both companies was aimed at showcasing the versatility of the iGEN3 by digitally producing customized individual covers for all the 1000 subscribers. Imagine, if all the pages are customized towards the liking of each individual of the 1000 subscribers, that is what we call the level of discreet personalisation that iGen3 can do.

Besides the iGEN3, Fuji Xerox Malaysia also showcased a multitude of other innovative printing devices during the exhibition from the very high-end to low-end models. Another model that is worth mentioning is the Nuvera 288, the world’s fastest cut-sheet printer at 288 pages per minute. Shown for the first time in Malaysia, the Nuvera 288 will join the ranks of the iGEN3 as a high-end offering for companies seeking to invest in a state-of-the-art monochrome printing system.

Also on display at the Fuji Xerox booth were various imaging applications such as FreeFlow™, XMPie, Creo, Fiery, and Apeos while making up the rest of the printing devices were the DC1100, DC8000, APC6550, just to name a few.

Fuji Xerox Malaysia in its last fiscal year report (2006) has reported a revenue growth of 20% over the previous year topping RM280 million. The key focus for this year will be corporate sectors, government entities and selected vertical industries such as Commercial Printer/Publishers and Education. Fuji Xerox is also directing its resources to become a one-stop provider of comprehensive office equipments, Production systems, software solutions and professional managed services.

The Document Company has set its sight to achieve RM 70+ Million of PBT for FY 2007 on top of targeted revenue of RM 360 Million. This translates to an approximately 33% growth over FY2006 actual achievement.
