Fuji Xerox Launches Wide Format Device - DocuWide 6055/6035 and Document Handling Software- DocuWorks 7.0Fuji Xerox’s solution to bridging paper and digital gap up to 2A0 size documentKUALA LUMPUR, February 27th, 2009 – Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Malaysia Operations) officially launched its Total Engineering Document Solution at Wisma Fuji Xerox. The Fuji Xerox Engineering Document Solution is designed to promote a seamless integration and smooth information flow between paper and digital documents with utilization of Fuji Xerox’s multifunction device and software. The integrated solution comprises of Fuji Xerox’s latest wide format device; DocuWide 6055/6035, the newly launched document handling software; DocuWorks 7.0 and an office multifunction device. In a typical engineering office environment, engineering drawings that were created are normally saved in TIFF format; while office documents such as project proposals are managed separately. However, by using DocuWorks 7.0 software, both engineering drawings and office documents can be merged or combined and saved digitally as a DocuWorks file format. Then, users have the flexibility of importing files, scan, compile, share and even print their required documents in various sizes such as A4, A3 up to A0 large sized drawings with either Fuji Xerox’s wide format device or office multifunction device. DocuWorks 7.0 also enable users to handle documents quickly and easily with user friendly features. They now have the ability to retrieve and share documents effortlessly through its built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) function. Users from architecture, engineering, construction and manufacturing industry can benefit from this total solution which allows them to handle large format drawings as well as office documents together. Information is kept safe and secured with multi-level security measures via password and usage restrictions. Conversion and management are made easy as users can convert DocuWorks document into PDF format. It is undeniable that effective document management is crucial to any organisation’s success. With Fuji Xerox’s DocuWide 6055/6035 wide format device, users can digitize complex technical drawings and manage documents effectively by using the built-in high speed, high resolution colour scanner. The two models use a high performance engine which enables copying and printing speed of 5 pages and 3 pages per minute respectively.
