Acquired management and ownership rights in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia from Rank Xerox. Management in Asia-Pacific region is integrated to facilitate greater efficiency in business development.

The Document Company declaration
Specifies the corporate stance of providing the highest level of the "documents" themselves and the process of creating them. In 1995, the corporate logo was redesigned, and the full-scale development of documents related business began.

Commenced business development in China
Acquired operating rights in China from Xerox Corporation and began business development in China.

The "open Office Frontier" proposal

Change of Corporate Identity
Fuji Xerox renewed it's corporate logo and embarked on a new brand identity. The change was aim to strengthen partnership with customers and society with global presence and rising above 'The Document Company' and reach the next stage.

The first digital multifunction device that combined a copy machine and a fax machine.

Launch of "Acolor 635/530"
A full fledged, digital full colour copy machine. This machine profoundly influences the diffusion of colour documents in offices.
1997
Launch of "Network Able" series
A digital multifunction device that incorporates the four functions of copying, faxing, printing and scanning in a single unit. Equipped with functions such as a network scanner to enhance connectivity to personal computers. Proposes a new concept of document management and utilization by bundling "DocuWorks". Independent sales of "DocuWorks" began the following year, and the number of licensed units sold surpassed one million in 2004.
