Now there is a simple and efficient way to manage users. Your multifunction devices can be used only after user is authenticated. ApeosWare Authentication Agent connected to external authentication server, Active Directory, does the authentication of your devices, be it a multifunction or a network printer. Changes in Active Directory are automatically reflected in Authentication Agent. Usage restriction can be set on copy, print, scan, fax, colour or monochrome by user and by user group. Simple to use, easy to maintain!.

Flexible User Management
Usage restriction is easily set using ApeosWare Authentication Agent. Restriction can be set for both user and user group on copy, print, scan, fax, colour or monochrome.

Specific group or users can be given supplementary administrator rights. These users can be authorized to manage certain group of users. This reduces workload of IT administrator and increase turn-around time for the management of ApeosWare Authentication Agent server

Easy Maintenance
User management of ApeosWare Authentication Agent uses the information in Active Directory. Changes in Active Directory are automatically synchronized to ApeosWare Authentication Agent. Thus, add or deletion of users in Active Directory are automatically reflected in ApeosWare Authentication Agent.

Secure device usage services is also available for unregistered users of Active Directory, users can be created as local in ApeosWare Authentication Agent with expiry date of usage restriction.

ApeosWare Authentication Agent comes with batch set up tools. This is essential for first time setup and setting up of large amount of data especially for enterprises to add a large number of users and devices at once.

ApeosWare Authentication Agent support set up via web browser on networked client computer. User and system information settings and acquisition can be easily done through web. No more client installation for setup purposes.

High Availability
Databases service on ApeosWare Authentication Agent server is shared on a SCSI shared disk. When main server is operating, an alternate server is on standby. If a defect occurs on the main server, fail-over begins automatically and operations continue on the alternative server without disruption.
